Fibre Products Mfg Co. Vintage Display Case

This is a very interesting vintage find. It is antique. The metal plate identifies this case as made by the "Fibre Products Manufacturing Company, of New York, NY". The plate also cleverly provides the company's motto "Famous Perfect Made Cases". This particular case is a staircase type display case, and was purchased new by my father in the late 1940's. He was a Raleigh salesman for a while, and this was his display case. It is composed of a lightweight fiber board. The corner pieces and trim are metal. It measures about 17" x 9" x 7" closed. You can see by the photo that it opened up into 3 stairstep shelves, and with the base, this provided the surface space of 4 shelves. I did a quick internet search and found only one other mention of this company. Lea Remond has photos of a much larger case made by the same company, as well as a wall advertisement for the company from New York City. You can see these at http://leafcutterdesigns.blogspot.com/
The case I have will be listed on eBay very soon and sold to the highest bidder. My eBay store is at http://www.mycliffordbooks.com
